Vertex Innovations is looking for a Transport Project Manager to provide support on transport activities for a wireless company. This position directs the Project Managers in the development of detailed project schedules to assist regional network teams with the successful initiation, execution, and closure of multiple projects. Roles & Responsibilities The responsibilities for this role: · Managing the Project Management team and accountable for maintenance of and consistent adherence to the established processes by all network groups to assure on time completion of all cell site, switch and special projects including: regional cell build, cell modification plans, EVDO, switch growth and BDA management · Understanding of all milestones, how they are related, and their dependencies · Managing miscellaneous projects, including corporate initiatives, as well as managing XNG and resource management Requirements, Qualifications, and Education Candidates will be required to have: · A minimum of 5 years wireless network experience · A minimum of 2 years experience in project management · 3+ years of management experience or more preferred · Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously · Demonstrated skill of paying in-depth attention to details · Ability to foresee obstacles and develop work around plans · Experience leading daily or weekly meetings, including documenting action items and ensuring deadlines are met · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred Preferred Skills Preferred skills to be successful in this position: · Knowledge of wireless transport engineering · Previous project management of large wireless network activities · Understanding Xng/Xpercom/Granite · Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills · Excellent organizational skills Additional Notes None. |
