- You do not require any additional device to use OTEnet Telecom’s fixed line service. You only need to dial 1010 on any digital line you dispose, and all your calls will be routed through OTEnet Telecom’s network. Additional devices are sometimes recommended in special occasions, i.e. corporate users with high requirements.
- How can I become an OTEnet Telecom subscriber?
- You may become a subscriber by calling our Customer Care Centre. You can call 131 from any mobile or fixed line, during our working hours from 8.00 until 23.00 on weekdays. Our Customer Care representatives will provide you with all the details you may need and assist you select the service which suits you best. Subsequently you will receive the contract and a leaflet with the prices and features of the service you have selected.
At the same time, the service will be activated and you will be in the position to conduct local, long-distance, international and mobile calls using code 1010. You simply have to sign the initial contract and submit a copy of your ID (or passport in case you do not have a Cypriot ID). You may also subscribe to your services at any Germanos shop. You will be able to fill in and sign your contract immediately with the assistance of a sales representative. Your service will be activated as soon as we receive the completed application. - Is there any technical support in the event of a fault?
- OTEnet Telecom support service operates from 8.00 until 23.00 on weekdays. To call the support service dial 131. Our personnel and technicians are happy to assist you with any problems concerning the use of the service or any other technical issues. The calls to the service through a fixed line are free of charge.
- Is there an activation fee or any fixed monthly charge?
- There is no activation fee, no penalty in the event of cancellation and no fixed monthly charge.
- What do I need to use OTEnet Telecom’s fixed line service? Do I have to stop using Cyta’s line and stop paying its fees?
- You will continue using Cyta’s natural line, your calls will go directly to Otenet Telecom. You have to continue paying Cyta’s monthly fee.
- What is a Carrier Pre-Selection?
- OTEnet Telecom CPS is an advance telephone service which directs your calls automatically through OTEnet Telecom’s advanced technology voice network. You will be invoiced for your calls by OTEnet Telecom.
- What is a Carrier Selection Code 1010?
- It is the code number which directs your calls to OTEnet Telecom’s network to enable you to benefit from OTEnet Telecom’s competitive fees. Therefore, if you forget to dial code 1010 prior to the number you wish to call, then your call will be charged by Cyta and you will miss the benefit which OTEnet Telecom’s fee schemes could provide you.
