Anti-spamming services

OTEnet Telecom’s Anti Spamming service uses a mail filter to identify spam. It is an intelligent email filter which uses a diverse range of tests to identify unsolicited bulk email, more commonly known as Spam. Every incoming mail is passed through this filter to determine whether the incoming email is classified as Spam. These tests are applied to email headers and content and are classified using advanced statistical methods.

This service is complimentary for all of OTEnet Telecom’s customers.

Antivirus services

OTEnet Telecom’s Antivirus service is based on a system which scans incoming email messages and attachments for viruses. Our infrastructure also scans for viruses in  files, including many of the most widely used file-compression types.

The system is used to scan all incoming messages to our main (primary) mailserver as well as to the relays (the secondary servers that provide backup both for our primary and for customers who run their own mailservers.

All email sent or received passes through our virus-checking mail server on its way, which searches for specific patterns in viruses, and makes sure that your mail is not infected.

If a virus is detected, we either remove the virus (deleting only the hostile software code residing in an otherwise-normal file) or delete the virus (deleting the viral file itself).
